AT LAKERS (19-39)
• Time: 7:30 p.m.
• Where: Staples Center
• TV/radio: Ch. 10, 1140, 950
• 1. Work inside: The Lakers have been using a small starting lineup lately, which may help explain why they are allowing the most points in the paint, second-chance points and offensive rebounds in the league. The Kings’ bigs must try to exploit that.
• 2. Value the ball: The last time these teams met, the Lakers scored 24 points off the Kings’ 17 turnovers. Los Angeles isn’t a great running team, but the Lakers do try to push the ball, and the Kings, who have committed 16 or more turnovers in four of their last five games, would make that easier with sloppy ball-handling.
• 3. Circle the wagons: The Kings won’t have DeMarcus Cousins (suspension) tonight. They’re 0-8 this season without their leading scorer and rebounder; they need to find a way to overcome his absence.
