Re "State parks system still must prove it's back on track" (Editorials, Feb. 23): It's clear that state parks have a long way to go. For years, my family has camped at the Eagle Point Campground at Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay State Park, one of the nation's finest.
The campground offers lake views from many sites and is traditionally open from mid-June to Labor Day. However, in 2012, the campground was closed for construction for the entire summer. In 2013, again, closed for the summer. It's now 2014, and for sure I thought it will be open this year. Wrong. Closed again for construction, with no end in sight. I'm one unhappy camper.
