Pregame notes: Bucks seek first back-to-back wins of season, Kings aim to top last season’s road win total

The Bucks have the NBA’s worst record (12-47) entering tonight’s game at Bradley Center.

That’s enough to make any coach wary.

“You look at their last five games, their averaging 108 points per game,” said Kings coach Michael Malone. “Shooting 48 (percent) from the three-point line and 47 (percent) from the field. If our players think they can just show up tonight and play their record, we would be in for a rude awakening.”

If the Kings need a reminder of what playing a team’s record can do, Sacramento is the same time that was handled on its homecourt by Philadelphia.

The Bucks routed Utah in its last game and is looking for consecutive wins for the first time this season.

“They played the Pacers to the wall,” Malone said. “They gave the Brooklyn Nets a very tough game and they just Blew out the Utah Jazz. We have to be ready to play.”

*The Kings are 8-20 on the road this season. A win tonight would surpass last season’s 8-33 road mark.

*Bucks coach Larry Drew had high praise for DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas. He called Thomas a “silent assassin” and while noting the physical nature of Cousins, Gay and Jason Thompson.

Prediction time: The Kings aren’t a juggernaut on the road, but they have a decided advantage tonight.

A loss tonight would be a horrible way to start this road trip. Tonight should be a big night for DeMarcus Cousins.

Kings 111, Bucks 104

My record: 35-34
