Teen reported critically injured in Foothill Farms shooting

A teenager was taken to a hospital in critical condition after being shot late Tuesday afternoon in Foothill Farms.

The shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Andrea Boulevard. Preliminary information indicated that gunshots were fired from a dark-colored vehicle, occupied by at least two people, at a group of people standing on the sidewalk, according to a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department news release. One person was struck.

Detectives responded to the scene and are seeking information on suspects and the motive for the shooting.
