Consider: Sacramentans named Richard are 20 percent more likely to be Republicans than those named Christopher, according to local voter registration data. Lindas are 25 percent more likely to be Democrats than Julies.

If you live in El Dorado County, you're nearly twice as likely to be named Gary than if you live in Yolo County.

Adults named Dorothy are, on average, three times older than those named Chelsea.
