Warm weather is in the forecast for Sacramento this weekend, but rain could be on the horizon next week.
Temperatures today will push into 80-degree territory, according to the National Weather Service.
“Officially, it’s 78, but we could easily hit 80 degrees,” said Johnnie Powell, a weather service forecaster.
The sunny streak is expected to remain through Monday. On Tuesday, a small storm is expected to move into the region, bringing a 30 percent chance of precipitation.
“It’s not a big storm by any means,” Powell said. “But when you’ve got a drought, a chance of rain is a chance of rain.”
