Re "Millennials are clever but too self-absorbed" (Forum, March 16): Mr. Boychuk says that my generation is a generation of idiots, content to live with our parents and freeload off their healthcare until we're well into adulthood. We are checked out of public affairs and doomed to create a more narcissistic government.
Well, Mr. Boychuk, maybe we're not looking at the same set of facts. If your generation hadn't tanked the economy and dragged the country into the Great Recession, more Millennials might be able to work their way into decent, middle-class jobs and support themselves.
As for engaged citizenship, point me to the people in your generation who struggle to pay rent and put food on the table and are more civic-minded than those same, struggling people in mine.
