Talking ‘Feast’ and other Bee food coverage on ‘Insight’

Published: Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2014 - 2:10 pm

We’re excited about Sunday’s launch of Feast, a new section dedicated to food at The Sacramento Bee. You’ll be hearing more about it soon, but the goal is to cover Sacramento’s ever-expanding food culture in the most thoughtful and engaging way possible.

Tim Swanson, The Bee’s features editor, and I appeared Monday on Capitol Public Radio’s “Insight” to talk about some of the whys and hows of “Feast,” which will cover a range of food topics, including dining reviews, profiles of trendsetters and tastemakers and features on ethnic markets and products. Feast will also feature a new column by yours truly, called The Nosh Pit.

Click this link to hear the “Insight” interview. And we hope that you dig into Feast Sunday.
