Re "Why gays oppose a lesbian" (Page B1, March 16): Marcos Breton's article once again illustrates the complete disparity in experience and qualification between Maggy Krell and Anne Marie Schubert.
In Krell, there is a candidate with minimal experience but apparent political aspirations beyond the DA's office. Krell seeks to represent the county's prosecuting trial attorneys but has only been the prosecutor in a handful of trials herself. One conviction was reversed for prosecutorial misconduct. She has no experience as a supervisor but is running for a job supervising the largest law firm in Sacramento.
On the other hand, Schubert is a career prosecutor, who has been the trial prosecutor in hundreds of cases and has leadership experience supervising other prosecuting attorneys.
As a Sacramento resident, I value the safety of my family and community too much to put my trust in a candidate who is as inexperienced as Krell. It's not even close.
