Protect the gray wolves

If the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service de-lists gray wolves from Endangered Species Act protections now, they will not survive the fear, misunderstanding and greed that currently permeates their existence. Wolves could disappear forever from our American landscape.

The USFWS must allow gray wolves to remain under federal protection and instead of delisting, support full wolf recovery by promoting conservation education, predation compensation programs and the resources that foster coexistence to stakeholders such as ranchers, loggers and hunters.

Before Secretary Jewell removes federal protections for gray wolves, people must be taught to understand that wolves are essential to maintaining the very ecosystems we depend upon. The states must stop mindless eradication efforts and create management plans that call for coexistence with wolves in their native habitat. Wolves have not recovered. Let's give them a chance.
