Didn’t score a ticket to the recent Sacramento Wizard World Comic Con, which featured “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus? This weekend offers another chance to interact with stars of the AMC show.
Sacramento’s Twisted Terror Convention springs to undead life Saturday and Sunday, with guests including two “Walking Dead” cast members as well as several other stars of the horror genre. Tickets cost $25 for a day pass and $35 for a weekend pass.
The convention features 37 “honored guests” from the horror industry, according to the convention’s website. The names span an intersection of horror and sci-fi, including: Chandler Riggs and Kyla Kennedy of “The Walking Dead”; Gil Gerard and Erin Gray of “Buck Rogers” fame; and Michael Berryman, of the original “The Hills Have Eyes.”
The convention has also planned presentations of independently-made horror films, starting with a block of shorts at 11 a.m. on Saturday followed by feature film screenings throughout the rest of the weekend.
Beyond the films and industry insiders, a variety of notable horror locals will make appearances, including representatives of the Sac Horror Film Fest and Beers N Fears, a Sacramento-made web show that discusses beer and horror films. There will also be vendors, horror book authors and more to keep the blood flowing.
