A vehicle crashed into a McDonald's restaurant Friday morning.

Van smashes into South Sacramento McDonald’s

A van plowed into a McDonald’s restaurant in south Sacramento on Friday morning, injuring an employee and causing a customer pain.

The driver of the van accidentally accelerated into the restaurant in the 2300 block of Florin Road about 8 a.m.

An employee cleaning at the time was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No criminal charges were expected, police said.
