Adding a new late-night weekend option for foodies in midtown Sacramento, local officials will host a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Wrap N’ Roll Sushi Burrito.

The new “fushion” concept restaurant, at 1801 L St., is owned by Mymy Nguyen and Jimmy Voong, whose original location is in Elk Grove.

“Adding a midtown location is meaningful to us because we ultimately want to be part of a community that is rich in small local businesses,” said Nguyen, in a statement.

Wrap N’ Roll is known for its specialty combinations, such as tempura shrimp burritos with crab and guacamole or grilled beef burritos with shaved daikon and fried garlic.

The restaurant, which occupies the former L Wine Lounge & Urban Kitchen site, will open at 11 a.m. daily for lunch and remain open until 3 a.m. Friday and Saturdays.
