Local business: Raley Field rolling out new perks for 2014 Sacramento River Cats season

Raley Field is rolling out a new smartphone app for “paperless” baseball tickets, as well as new food vendors and a new hospitality area as part of the River Cats 2014 season.

The free app for iPhone and Android phones will enable River Cats fans to purchase tickets, follow live streaming and participate in Raley Field contests during a game, team officials said. It will be available starting XXXX.

The River Cats also announced a series of new giveaways, as well as 22 nightly fireworks shows.

New food options include An Honest Pie, a food truck that specializes in sweet and savory pies. The new hospitality area is called the Home Plate Tailgate, where fans can watch batting practice and have access to food and beverages.
