Re "Yes, climate change is real and it is damaging" (Editorials, April 1): Most people are in agreement with the existence of climate change, but very little is done to battle the effects.
As long as moneyed interests to not believe it is necessary to stop polluting practices or that such effects will not occur until they are long gone, nothing will be done. By that point, it will simply be too late.
Most people would rather hide their heads in the sand than really come out in force and demand changes right now. Just as the Stamp Act, prior to the American Revolution, was one of the last straws which precipitated the needed changes in our country, we need such an impetus.
