Mission accomplished?

Re "Obama takes a victory lap" (Page A1, April 2): As the Obama Administration celebrates, we should keep in mind there is much more analysis to come.

The weapons of mass destruction in this case could be sticker shock for consumers, particularly within high-deductible bronze and even silver health plans. While covering all essential services, the new plans will charge higher fees for things like MRI, surgery and hospitalization.

Enrollees who received help from a licensed certified agent will have been educated on these types of gotchas, but people who just called in or signed up with lesser-trained counselors may not be so well-informed.

The Association of Health Underwriters, using only private resources, has been heavily involved at local, state and national levels to help make the enrollment push successful. We look forward to continuing our role as expert leaders to make health reform work for individuals and businesses.
