Cobalt means goblin- how appropriate

Re "Fed twice chose not to investigate faulty GM Parts" (Page A1, March 31): A goblin is a legendary and grotesquely evil creature. The word cobalt comes from the German "kobold," meaning goblin.

All GM executives should be issued and forced to drive and ride in Chevy Cobalts and Saturn Ions. The same treatment should be forced upon NHTSA executives and GM engineers and QC personnel who knew of the faulty ignition switches for years and did not feel compelled to insist upon changes, regardless of the cost to GM.

Maybe after a week or two of being locked inside a moving Cobalt, imagining a mischievous goblin in the car with them, toying with a dangling key ring, they would reconsider their decisions and move forward to correct the problem. No compensation to victims or their families is enough. They knew it could happen and did nothing to stop it.
