Isaiah Thomas is out again for the Kings with a right quad contusion.

The Kings will be without Isaiah Thomas for the fifth consecutive game with right quad contusion.

Kings coach Michael Malone said Thomas had an MRI that confirmed what Malone referred to as a “very” deep thigh bruise.

Ray McCallum will start his fifth game of the season. McCallum is averaging 15.3 points and seven assists as a starter.

Aaron Gray (stomach illness) is also out for the second straight game for the Kings.

    • The Lakers are without centers Pau Gasol (vertigo) and Chris Kaman (calf). This could be a very big night for Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins.

    • Prediction time: The Kings are 0-3 against the Lakers this season. If the Kings don’t give up too many three pointers, this game is very winnable.

    Kings 115, Lakers 98

My record: 46-27 (minus the pregame session missed due to travel issues).
