The eighth annual Green California Summit and Exposition, billed as the state’s largest annual event highlighting innovations in green policy, practice and technology, will held be at the Sacramento Convention Center on Tuesday and Wednesday.

More than 100 companies offering green products and services will be on-site. The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is a primary sponsor of the event.

A pre-summit reception on Monday will include seminars on Proposition 39 – the 2012 voter-approved measure to raise taxes on out-of-state corporations – and recent changes to the state’s green building and energy codes. Also, Tom Johnson, of the “100 Best Fleets” site, will host a half-day workshop, “Implementing Best Business Practices; Solutions to the Biggest Fleet Challenges.”

Keynote speakers set for Tuesday’s opening session will be Anne Simpson, senior portfolio manager and director of global Governance for CalPERS, and Wade Crowfoot, deputy cabinet secretary and senior adviser with Gov. Jerry Brown’s office.
