Andre Iguodala is in the starting lineup for the Warriors after missing Wednesday’s game with right knee tendinitis.

Pregame notes: Iguodala will start for Warriors; still no Thomas for Kings

The Golden State Warriors will have one of their starters back for tonight’s game against the Kings.

Swingman Andre Iguodala (right knee tendinitis) will start for Golden State.

Iguodala was the small forward the Kings tried to land in free agency before he settled for less money to play for the Warriors.

Iguodala will have to contend with Rudy Gay, the small forward the Kings landed in a trade to fill the void at that position.

As expected, forward David Lee (strained right hamstring) and center Andrew Bogut (pelvis/groin contusion) are still out.

• Kings guard Isaiah Thomas (right quad contusion) is still out for the Kings. This will be the sixth game he’s missed. Center Aaron Gray (stomach illness) will be available for the Kings after sitting out two games.

“He’s slowly coming back,” said Kings coach Michael Malone of Gray. “He was in a real bad way – stomach virus. He’s been able to get some solid food down and he’ll be able to give us some minutes tonight.”

• Malone said he plans to play Jared Cunningham more tonight and not play Ray McCallum so many minutes. Ideally McCallum will not play so close to all 48 minutes.

• Prediction time: The Warriors need to win this game to keep any thoughts of missing the playoffs from becoming a reality.

Not that I expect the Warriors to miss the playoffs, but the bottom of the Western Conference playoff race is tight and a couple of losses could lead to desperate times in Oakland.

Warriors 103, Kings 97

My record: 47-27 (minus the pregame session missed due to travel issues).
