The Sacramento forecast for the work week is constant from day to day: temperatures in the 80s and no rain.

The balmy, spring days are the result of a strong high pressure system that is expected to be parked over the western United States for the foreseeable future. National Weather Service forecasters predict the resulting weather pattern will include blue skies, a slight wind and dry conditions.

High temperatures in early April are normally around 70 degrees in Sacramento. However, the high pressure will push daytime maximum temperatures to 10-15 degrees above average.

Look for the beginning of the week to be the warmest with Monday’s high expected to be 85 degrees in Sacramento and Tuesday topping out at 87 degrees. The detailed, 7-day forecast for the Sacramento region from the NWS:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Light and variable wind.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. Calm wind.
