Avoiding Sacramento’s own carmageddon: Your guide to the Fix50 closures

State and local road officials are suggesting commuters in the central Sacramento region consider alternative modes of travel between April 22 and June 25 when a major rehabilitation project will be underway on the W-X section of Highway 50 downtown. Some eastbound freeway lanes will be closed April 22 to May 21. Some westbound lanes will be closed May 27 to June 25.
