Re "Orcas will pay the price if Sea World shows are banned" (Editorial, April 8): According to The Bee, wild animals have been put on this earth solely to entertain and be studied by humans. No thought is given to orcas being separated from their families or kept in tanks where they have no ability to roam free and explore their ocean home. It is best to keep orcas captive in places like Sea World because it is kinder than setting them free? This makes no sense at all.

Why capture them in the first place? If people want to see orcas or other animals in their natural environment they can go on whale watching trips or game parks.
