Sacramento State will celebrate Earth Day on Thursday with botanical tour

Sacramento State will celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with walking tours, food trucks and informational displays.

Michael Baad, emeritus professor of biological sciences, will lead a 45-minute walking tour of the university’s three-acre botanical garden at 10 a.m.

The sustainable Technology Outdoor Research Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visitors will see sustainable technology projects.

Tours that highlight the university's role as a sustainable campus will leave from the Library Quad fountain at 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
