The Sacramento County Bar Association is holding a candidates’ forum Wednesday night for the three contestants who are running for Sacramento County District Attorney.
The forum, which is open to the public, is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McGeorge School of Law Lecture Hall, at 3200 Fifth Avenue.
“It’s important that the public have an opportunity to hear the candidates for the first contested district attorney election in 20 years,” said B.J. Susich, the president of the county bar.
Deputy Attorney General Maggy Krell, former federal and local prosecutor Todd Leras and Deputy District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert are running to replace the outgoing five-term incumbent, Jan Scully.
Capitol Public Radio’s Beth Ruyak will moderate the forum. Local defense attorney Kevin Adamson, retired Sacramento Superior Court Judge Alice Lytle and McGeorge law professor Michael Vitiello will comprise the panel that will ask the candidates questions.
The forum will be broadcast live on Access Sacramento television.
