A Sacramento County deputy district attorney who was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Dec. 19 has pleaded no contest.

Nancy Cochrane’s plea was entered at her first hearing Jan. 16 in Sacramento Superior Court. She was fined and sentenced to three years informal probation and time served in county jail.

According to court records, the veteran prosecutor of high-profile sex crimes and child abuse cases was stopped at 12:20 a.m. by Sacramento police on the eastbound 16th Street onramp to the Capital City Freeway. Her blood-alcohol level measured at .15 percent, according to court records.
