After a couple of weeks of way above normal temperatures and no rain, temperatures are expected to take a nose dive as spring showers just might make an appearance early next week in Sacramento.
The high on Wednesday downtown was 84 degrees, which 11 degrees above normal for mid-April in Sacramento. Look for the Delta breeze to strengthen Thursday afternoon.
The next two days and the weekend are expected to be much the same as the recent weather. The National Weather Service is forecasting daytime highs in the low 80s through Sunday in Sacramento.
Wetter and cooler conditions are expected to arrive Monday, and, especially be prevalent on Tuesday, in Northern California. The NWS predicts a slight chance of showers in the Sacramento region on Tuesday with the afternoon high only reaching 69 degrees.
