Re "Rancher is no revolutionary, just a welfare queen in a cowboy hat" (Viewpoints, April 19): James Greiff's article on Civen Bundy was informative and gave a view on the Rancher/Government story that I had not seen fully expressed elsewhere. It is good to get both sides of the story. The truth will no doubt sort out in the end.
The last sentence was most intriguing to me where Greiff opines: "(t)here is no grand principle here, just the poor judgment of a man who has helped himself at the public trough while believing he has a right to pick and choose which laws to obey." It reminded me of President Obama and our servants in Congress, Harry Reid in particular, who do the same, believing they have the right to choose what laws to obey and/or enforce.
Our leaders should set the example for following the law, not avoiding or ignoring it. Something to remember come election day.
