Robert Handsaker took this photograph in January 1968. It shows the completed 29th-30th Freeway and the new interchange connecting it to the soon to be opened W-X Freeway, Highway 99, and Highway 50. This view shows the extent of the project and the swath it cut though Midtown. In 1983, the freeway was renamed Business 80, while the I-880 Bypass was renamed Interstate 80.
