Re "Old tax bill generates new lawsuit" (Capital & California, April 21): Why do people who live in California fail to meet their obligations to the state? I know at least two people who have lived and worked here for several years who have at least one car licensed out of California.
Why do people who make their money in California because of, for instance, the incredible real estate market in San Francisco then sell, make loads of profit and move to Nevada to avoid paying taxes to the state that allowed them to make such outlandish profits.
And so it goes with Gilbert Hyatt who made millions in California but was unwilling to support the state by paying taxes even if they are high, so he moved to Nevada
Perhaps the taxes would not be so high if these selfish people would pay their share?
