Inside the Vault Textile Tour

‘A Couple of Blaguards’
What: Fans of the storytelling brothers McCourt – Frank (“Angela’s Ashes”) and Malachy (“Harold Be Thy Name”) – know their ability to captivate with bittersweet tales that have you laughing through your tears. In the stage presentation “A Couple of Blaguards” actors portray the brothers giving an autobiographical account of their years growing up in poverty in Limerick, Ireland

Symphony caps season
What: The Camellia Symphony Orchestra caps its 51st season with a performance of English composer Edward Elgar’s “Enigma Variations.” The evening also features Seth Asarnow on the bandoneon, an accordion-like instrument rarely heard in North America.

What: The Hill (Mokelumne) is alive with the sound of Chilean-born flutist Viviana Guzman as Petroglyphe Gallery opens its 2014 concert series. Wine and light refreshments will be served before the concert – peruse the original contemporary works in the gallery in style, then enjoy the music.
