Rocklin man booked for allegedly video recording women in bathrooms

A Rocklin man has been arrested on suspicion of child pornography possession and illegally video recording women in the bathrooms of his homes.

Peter Terrance Nelson, 41, was booked into Placer County Jail on Monday. Nelson’s bail was set at $1 million.

Roseville police began investigating Nelson last October, which later led to his arrest for video recording under women’s dresses at the Roseville Costco store. Placer County Sheriff’s detectives searched his residence April 15 and seized two computers.

A forensic evaluation of the computers revealed that Nelson had hidden cameras in his home and had filmed females showering and otherwise using the bathroom.

Detectives are attempting to identify women in the videos that date back to 2007. The videos were taken at Nelson’s Elk Grove and Rocklin homes. Detectives suspect he may have also hidden cameras at his former job site and in portable bathrooms at sporting events.

Detectives are asking that anyone who might have stayed at Nelson’s residences dating back to 2007 to call detectives Jim Hudson at 530-889-7800.
