Are there any updates on Dan McGrath’s sentencing that was supposed to take place in September 2013 and then got postponed to December 2013?

Daniel Harrison McGrath, who pleaded guilty to federal charges of possessing child pornography in March 2013, still awaits sentencing.

According to U.S. District Court online records, a hearing for judgment and sentencing has been continued to May 23.

More than 3,000 images and videos of child pornography were discovered during a police investigation into the death of McGrath’s 2-year-old granddaughter, whose body was found in McGrath’s Roseville home April 4, 2012.

Denise Marie McGrath Wilder, the child’s mother and McGrath’s daughter, was arrested in connection with the child’s death and subsequently pleaded no contest to felony child abuse and child neglect resulting in the death of a child. She was sentenced in December 2013 to 10 years and four months in prison.

According to federal court documents, during an audio and videotaped interview about his granddaughter’s death, law enforcement officers told McGrath that a search warrant would be executed and that his computers would be taken as part of the investigation. McGrath told authorities that he had “sensitive” information on the computers and then admitted that he had files of child pornography on them.
