Water wrongs

Re "Cutbacks looming for water supply" (Page A1, May 1): Maybe it's naive, but where's the concern over Nestle's tainted reputation in the valley, as well as the impact of fracking all over the state?

There's lots of talk on imposing on public rights where there is a tangible return, but little discussion on the impact of major players who do just as much, if not more, damage to our water supply.

I like to think our leaders are acting in our best interests. It doesn't make sense to advance the interests of entities whose presence provides little return on such a huge stake in California.
