The Sacramento County Coroner’s Department has released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a hit-and-run collision Thursday night.
He was identified as Gavril Suiugan, 20, of Fair Oaks.
CHP spokeswoman Office Lizz Dutton said the collision occurred about 8:50 p.m. Thursday on Roseville Road just south of Outlook Drive in the Antelope area.
Suiugan was traveling northbound on Roseville Road when a blue vehicle traveling southbound made a left turn from Roseville Road onto Outlook Drive in front of the motorcyclist. Suiugan died at the scene.
The other driver fled in what was described as a blue late 1990s or early 2000 model GMC truck with a camper shell or an SUV.
The CHP is asking the public's help in locating the driver or vehicle involved in the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP dispatch center at (916) 861-1300.
