Placerville woman dies in crash into fence

Published: Monday, May. 12, 2014 - 11:29 pm

A Placerville woman was killed when the pickup truck in which she was riding crashed into a fence.

Danielle Aposhian, 32, was riding in a Toyota Tundra pickup being driven eastbound on Texas Hill Road by Daniel French, 38, of Placerville about 10 p.m. Saturday at a high rate of speed, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.

The truck ran off the right side of Texas Hill Road near Cedar Ravine Road, striking a wood and metal mesh fence. The fence broke apart with some of the fencing entering the cab of the truck.

Aposhian died from her injuries. French was airlifted to the hospital with major head injuries.
