Re " A terrible new twist on global terrorism" (Editorials, May 8): The Bee's editorial board writes that global attention should continue to shine light on Boko Haram and its atrocities. I strongly agree and also believe our collective focus should shift from the whole Islamic community to a single group for the crime being conducted. This will maintain the fact that the act of one rogue faction (Boko Haram) doesn't speak for all of the community (Islam).
Most of all, the Nigerian government should start taking strict action for bringing these girls back home before it's too late. It seems Boko Haram had been involved in several attacks before rising into power. It is more likely that close attention from the government to these terrorist groups could even prevent the rise of any such power in the future.
