Re "GOP candidates for governor on tax credits, liberty" (Opinion, May 12): When asked why he voted for Obama in 2008, Neel Kashkari stated, "When you're in an issue as complicated as this (financial crisis), and you see someone speaking with great nuance, and one person understands that the economy is collapsing into the Great Depression, I cast my vote for Obama."
Really? So Mitt Romney was a self-made millionaire by starting from scratch with his own company and he knows nothing about how to make the economy run, while the guy Kashkari voted for had his personal records sealed before he ran for president so no one knew anything about him. Obama had no experience in finance nor had he ever produced anything of substance, and this includes his short tenure as a senator.
Kashkari's vote was based on great nuance. By today's standard in California, he's a shoo-in for governor.
