Super PAC money influencing elections

Re "Beware voters swayed by ads" (Letters, May 12): I agree with Wes Hill's letter regarding my April 28 letter about the problem being much more serious, except about the voters getting the candidates they deserve. It's more of the Democratic or Republican parties getting what they want to bolster their ranks.

Why do you think we have the same people in the Legislature year after year and some don't even live in the districts they are supposed to represent? Maybe the money doesn't always buy an election, but ask yourself what the political parties from outside a district gain other than to have the candidate be obligated to that political party.

Advertisements have come a long way in influencing people, and money from outside of a district versus the money raised in the district. It's not fair to the people in that district.
