The operator of the Sacramento Comedy Spot has signed a multi-year lease that will keep the club in the MARRS building at 20th and K streets in midtown Sacramento for its 10th anniversary in 2015 and beyond.

In November 2009, the club moved from 1716 Broadway to its current location at 1050 20th St., a move that owner Brian Crall calls “the best decision I’ve ever made...The MARRS Building is the epicenter of everything that is awesome about midtown.”

Crall said the lease was signed with Michael Heller of Gold River-based Heller Pacific Inc. Specific lease terms were not disclosed.

The Sacramento Comedy Spot features improv, podcasts, stand-up and sketch comedy shows seven nights a week and also oversees an all-ages comedy school.

In April, Crall created Future City Entertainment Inc., which will assume ownership of the Sacramento Comedy Spot, the Sacramento Comedy Festival and by the end of the year.
