Puppy taken from Roseville Costco returned

Charlie, the beagle puppy taken Thursday from a car parked at a Roseville Costco, has been returned to its owner, said an official from an Auburn rescue foundation.

Roseville police sought the public’s help in finding a 10-week-old beagle that was left in a car while the owner, a Bay Area man on his way to Lake Tahoe, shopped at the Roseville Costco on Stanford Ranch Way. The car was in the shade and the windows were left a few inches open. The dog owner claimed he was only in the store for 15 minutes. When he returned, the dog was gone.

“The puppy has been returned to his owner. He should happy. The people that found it gave it to me,” said Cassandra Reeves, secretary/treasurer of the Auburn Area Animal Rescue Foundation.
