Published: Saturday, May. 17, 2014 - 10:56 pm

• Highlight: Jordan Pries allowed one run over seven innings, and Gabriel Noriega had three hits to lead the Tacoma Rainiers over the River Cats 5-4 on Saturday night at Raley Field, snapping Sacramento’s seven-game winning streak.

• Another sellout: The announced crowd of 14,704 was the 79th sellout in franchise history and the largest this season.

• Barton to return: A’s first baseman Daric Barton cleared waivers and is headed back to the River Cats. The 28-year-old had the option to decline a minor-league assignment but decided to stay with the organization he has been with since 2004. This is the eighth season Barton will spend time on the River Cats’ roster.
