Re "What consumers can expect from AT&T, DirecTv deal": What a deal. Will prices increase? For the time being, not at all. How will this affect net neutrality? For the time being, not at all. How is this beneficial? Oh, more DirecTv content. Nice way to dangle this carrot before people so that they won't notice the stick.

Ever since Ronald Reagan stopped enforcing the Sherman Anti-trust Act, we have seen the rise of super corporations that monopolize our food, telecommunications, the media, banks, etc. What has happened to our economy in that time? More costs have been pushed on the backs of the poor and middle class and small businesses.

Why isn't the media calling for an anti-trust act that will break up these conglomerates when they reach more than a certain percentage of the market share? Oh yeah, the media are owned by conglomerates. Duh.
