Re "Republicans see Clinton's health as fair game issue" (Page A6, May 19): It's absolutely legitimate for Republicans to question Hillary Clinton's health if she decides to make a run for president. However, by starting off the debate by fabricating the extent of her injuries after she fell, as Karl Rove did, by saying Clinton was in the hospital for 30 days with brain injury when her stay was only four days with no evidence or sign of trauma to her brain is over the top.

What Republicans perceive as a concocted war on women is about to become too real for them. By willy-nilly attacking an accomplished female politician who hasn't even thrown her hat into the ring yet, shows they haven't learned the lessons of 2012, when the man they perceived to be a Muslim from Kenya won the women's vote by 11 percentage points.
