Re "Rising to the challenge at Twin Rivers schools" (Viewpoints, May 20): Very insightful column on Twin Rivers.
I served on the Robla Elementary board for almost 20 years beginning in 1987. When the unification came up, I was one of only a handful of people opposing the merger. I was successful in getting Robla to opt out. I saw only disaster. In spite of the fact, I had been on Robla for almost 20 years, not one elected official contacted me about my thoughts on the merger. I now serve on the Roseville City School Board.
Sure enough, Twin Rivers became just another Grant. Board infighting was the worst of all the problems. Let us hope with new management, they can turn the district around.
