What: Robinson’s Taekwondo wants to help feed the hungry by collecting healthful canned veggies or fruits at its 17 Sacramento-area locations for donation to Food Link. Contributors will be eligible for a drawing for three months of training.

New farmers market

What: Foothills Farmers Market launches this week at Finnish Hall in Rocklin, bringing to 11 the number of either seasonal or year-round markets offering fresh produce in Placer County this summer.

Chicken-centric events

What: The signature event of the fifth annual Tour de Cluck is the “Coop Crawl,” a bike tour of local chicken farms, which benefits the Davis Farm to School program.
