A warming trend commencing Wednesday won’t abate until Monday when temperatures will start heading down again on Memorial Day.
The high on Wednesday is expected to be 85 degrees in Sacramento. Temperatures peak on the weekend when the afternoon high will be about 10 degrees hotter.
The high pressure system currently building over Northern California will also bring high temperatures in the 70s and 80s in the mountains this weekend.
While Memorial Day will still be hot in Sacramento – a projected 90 degrees – a cooling trend starts on Monday with a low pressure system setting up over the Pacific Northwest.
