Greek festival

Ethnic fun in Roseville

What: St. Anna’s Greek Orthodox Church presents a little bit of Greece at its 20th annual festival. All kinds of specialty foods, ouzo, Greek coffee and Greek beer will be there to enjoy as you watch traditional Greek dancing throughout the weekend.

When: 5-10 p.m. today; noon-10 p.m. Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday

Where: St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 Stone Canyon Drive, Roseville

What: The 81st professional rodeo has features for all ages, including mutton bustin’ (for kids ages 4-7), a skydiving exhibition and traditional rodeo events: bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding, steer wrestling, team roping and women’s barrel racing.

All aboard in Old Sac

What: Jazz-related activities will be found inside and outside the California State Railroad Museum, including live music, during the 6-mile, 45-minute round-trip excursion train rides and in the El Dorado – a restored first-class 1920s lounge observation car with large windows, plush seating and air conditioning. 41st annual Sacramento Music Festival badge holders get free admission to the museum.

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday-Monday

Where: Central Pacific Railroad Freight Depot (Front Street between J and K streets)

Cost: Excursion trains: $5-$10; first-class cars $15-$20; children 5 and under free; advance tickets recommended.

Vettes for Vets at California Auto Museum

What: As a memorial to military veterans, the California Automobile Museum will highlight shiny Chevy Corvettes in its annual Vettes for Vets and American Muscle car show.
