Bright lights and busy streets don't seem to ring a bell when talking about Sacramento. Considering this city is the capitol of the most populous state and is actually one of the country's most populated cities, one would probably expect a sophisticated public transportation system and an eco-friendly environment. However it is the opposite and almost and embarrassment in comparison to other cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.
In order to make this city less dependent on cars, citizens need to demand funding to go toward projects and events that promote less usage of greenhouse gasses, such as bicycle day or walk day. Implementing a new public transit system that allows buses and trains to run on a regular, consistent basis throughout the day, is also another step. From there, the city can create dependable routes for people to rely on regardless of distance.
