Auburn-based bank names new CEO

Auburn-based Community 1st Bank, which also has a Roseville branch and a loan office in Sacramento, has promoted James Kim to be its new president and CEO.

Kim has served as Community 1st Bank’s executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer since 2007. His previous career experience includes stints with the international business firm Arthur Andersen, as well as with North Valley Bank, Calnet Business Bank and Feather River State Bank.

He succeeds Robert Haydon, who came out of retirement in 2011 to serve as CEO at the request of the bank’s board of directors. Haydon, who was the founding board chairman when the bank opened in 2006, will return to his position as board chairman.

Kim has undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration and accounting from California State University, Sacramento.
